  • Otter - Bedford, Priory Park

  • Wood Mouse - Maulden Heath, 4 juveniles under tin sheet

  •                    - Maulden Wood, 14 including some juveniles

  • Yellow-necked Mouse - Maulden Wood, 1 during box check

  • Rat - Beeston, killed by cat! 

  • Common Shrew - Old warden tunnel NR

  • Dormouse - Maulden Wood, 3 during Box Check  

  • Squirrel - Dunstable, caching food

  •             - Old Warden Tunnel NR

  •             - Colmworth, 3 DOR

  • Rabbit - Old Warden Tunnel NR

  • Muntjac Deer - Bedford, Fenlake Meadow LNR, 2 seen

  • Chinese Water Deer - Liddlington

  • Hedgehog - Barton, 3 in garden

  • Badger - TL04, DOR 

  • Hare - TL05, seen

  • Fox - Bedford, Fenlake Meadow LNR

  •       - Bedford, Meadow Lane GP 

   How about a few mammal photographs, preferably of the records being listed via Adnoto. Either post pictures on the Beds Flora & Fauna Blog as detailed below, or on The Mammal Group site.   

  When entering a record on Adnoto, please list the nearest town in the 'location box' and not "in garden" etc.

    All records are of live animals unless stated.  
        14 Species for the week and now 28 species for 2016.


   Can all records please be submitted via the BNHS Adnoto system, as this adds them to the holding Database and means all the necessary information is submitted.
