Mammal Sightings for the last week

Thanks to the following people sending in Mammal Records this past week.

  • Hedgehog - Leighton Buzzard, feeding in garden

                      - Ampthill, 2 feeding in garden

                      - Bedford, 2 DOR, at different locations

                      - Wooton, seen in garden

                      - Westoning, 2 in garden

                      - Kempston, 1 in garden

 

  • Rabbit - Sandy, RSPB Lodge, caught by stoat

  • Hare - TL03, 1 seen

  • Squirrel - Luton, Stockwood Park, 2 seen

                   - Kempston, 1 seen  

  • Black Squirrel - Milton Bryan, juvenile seen

 

  • Mole - Luton, hills

               - Dunstable Downs, dead on ground

  • Dormouse - Maulden Wood, 5 adults in 3 different boxes and 1 adult with 3/4 juveniles in another box 

  • Wood Mouse - Maulden Wood, 6 adults and 2 groups of 3 & 4/5 juveniles

  • Yellow-necked Mouse - Maulden Wood, 1 seen in box

  • Rat - Marston Vale CP, 3 under Bird Feeder

  • Common Shrew - Dunstable Downs, dead on ground

  • Muntjac - Chicksands Wood  

  • Badger - SP94, 2 DOR at different locations

                  - TL04, DOR

                  - TL03, DOR 

 

  • Stoat - Ampthill, 1 crossing road

                - Sandy, RSPB Lodge, dragging off a rabbit

                          

 

   All records are of live animals unless stated.  
   13 Species for the week and 26 so far in 2016.

 

   Can all records please be submitted via the BNHS Adnoto system, as this adds them to the holding Database and means all the necessary information is submitted.
